 Fareham Heathens
Fareham Heathens was founded in 1974, and situated on the South coast of England, plays its matches in Hampshire Division I.
Formed in the early 70's, Fareham Heathens has developed a reputation for friendliness and excellence. With a large membership and wide ranging support the club enjoys a solid membership of Hampshire Division 1. Running at least three senior teams, plus a Vets, the club is developing a youth program and would dearly love to have the ladies play too (except that they really would show the men up).
The Second XV and Third XV compete in the Hampshire merit leagues, whilst this season will see the formation of a more establiushed Vets team, that will compete in the Hampshire vets cup as well as playing a series of friendlies.
The 2006 - 2007 season will be the clubs first season with a youth section.
We have commenced specific age group training, and currently have a growing group of children that turn up each Sunday and take part in our sessions. We are always looking out for new players from 6 - 15 years old, so why dont you come down and meet us; give the game a try (no pun intended there).
We are currently catering for the U8/U9/U10/U11/U12 and U15 (school years 3,4,5,6,7 and 10) age groups. Come along on Sunday mornings 10:00 - 12:00 and see what we do. No previous experince of rugby necessary. At the moment it is free.
The club resides in the spacious arena of Cams Alders in Fareham, jostling for attention with the Fareham Town Football team. We have a large carpark and a clubhouse and bar. Also we have a fully floodlit pitch, enabling us to host games in the evening, as well as providing us a superb training area.
With a wide range of social activities beyond the rugby, the club welcomes all to join us on matchdays.
